Billing questions about campus housing (2021)
Beginning June 1, 2021, all on-campus student housing will be billed on a monthly basis via Student Financial Services (SFS). Through SFS, you’ll be able to access and manage all of your University financial obligations in one online account. You’ll also be able to choose from several payment options, including online check, wire transfer, and more. Learn more about other ways to pay via the SFS website.
What to Expect:
- The monthly housing charge will appear on the student account in the prior month. Payment for each month is due on the date listed on the bill where the housing charge appears.
- When a new student account statement is released and ready to view and/or pay online, you will receive an email via your Columbia University email account. The University does not mail paper bills.
- Review the SFS billing schedule for more information about statements and due dates.
- Rent for the first month is pro-rated based on the move-in date.
Continuing students who were previously billed per semester will see their first monthly housing charge on their student account June.
In addition, we will be returning all of your security deposits back to you that are on file with us. You should receive this check in the mail by the end of August.
Visit the SFS website to review the billing schedule and set up your billing account. If you have any questions about student billing, contact us at housingservices@cumc.columbia.edu.
Sincerely,
Office of Housing Services
