VS Onboarding: Due Dates
Virtual students do not need to submit health requirements.
Epic training only necessary for NYP electives.

When to expect access:
UNI:
- You will receive an email from Curricular Affairs once your UNI is ready for activation, about 4 to 6 weeks prior to your elective start. Make sure your health requirements are ready to submit in the meantime.
- You will have access to the SHS portal immediately once you have activated your UNI.
- SHS will need to review your documentation, clear you in their system, and notify our office of your clearance before we can proceed with your onboarding.
- We will request your CWID from NYP during onboarding; your CWID will be added to your OASIS Academic History once it has been created.
- We will request your Epic training access once we receive your CWID; the ticket number will be added to your OASIS Academic History.
- You should receive an email from NYP once your Epic training access is ready.
- You will receive HIPAA training access automatically after you have been cleared by SHS and registered. There may be a delay of a few days to a few weeks.
- You may not receive an email once your HIPAA training is ready, so please check periodically.
- If you do not receive HIPAA training access before your rotation start, please make sure to complete the training as soon as you have access.
