Scrub code and PIN Information

Your NYP scrub code and PIN are listed in OASIS > Announcements > Academic History > Scrub Size, Code, PIN once they are created. 

NOTE: Please confirm in OASIS Academic History and submit a request only if a scrub code is not present. 

When will I get access to scrubs?
All students gain access to the scrub machines by late September of their M1 year. Student Affairs requests your code and PIN from NYP on your behalf.

How many scrubs do I get?
Each student receives two scrub credits linked to their code and PIN.

Where can I use my scrub code?
Your code and PIN work at NYP scrub machines located in:

  • Milstein 3rd Floor OR

  • Milstein/Heart Center 3rd Floor

  • Milstein 4th Floor OR

  • CHONY 4th Floor OR

Can I use my NYP scrub code at other sites?
No. This code and PIN are for NYP-CUIMC locations only.

  • Bassett and Stamford have their own scrub processes.

  • If you require access to Allen Pavilion or Cornell, please open a UserVoice ticket and specify the location.

What if I lose access or my PIN doesn’t work?
If your code becomes inactive, your PIN is invalid, or you lose a credit, submit a UserVoice ticket. We will request NYP to reactivate or reset your account.

Can I request a scrub code if I’m not in MCY yet?
Yes. Any MD student can request a scrub code and PIN by submitting a UserVoice ticket. Please include your scrub size in the request.

How do I know if my code is active?
The only way to verify activation is to test your code on a scrub machine. We cannot check the activation status from our end.
