Ready4Residency

R4R is a required residency preparation course that will be offered in March and April. After the R4R rank scheduling, R4R will become a waitlist course, and you must add yourself to the waitlist if you want to switch enrollment between March and April. The waitlist will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please review the below attendance policy for the Ready4Residency course, and note the below special considerations:

R4R Attendance Policy

R4R is an in-person course, and attendance at all scheduled sessions is required. Classes are held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily, with afternoon sessions twice per week. Virtual options are not available.

Students may have up to two excused absences and two unexcused absences during the course. All anticipated absences must be approved in advance by course leadership.
Attendance at all required BLS/ACLS sessions is mandatory. Students who miss required ACLS sessions will not be eligible to receive ACLS/BLS certification through the course.

Special Considerations
Pediatric-specific content is offered only during the March course, while OB/GYN content is offered only during the April course. Students interested in pediatric or OB/GYN topics should preferentially enroll in the March or April course, respectively.

Final Term Clinical Elective

This is a reminder that one of the graduation requirements is completing a clinical elective in the final semester. Please utilize the Degree Progress/Course Requirements Report tool in OASIS to plan your final term. If you have questions about which courses meet the Final Term Clinical Elective Requirement, open the Course Requirements Report tool and click on the requirement name to view a detailed list of the courses that meet the requirement.
